The Accelerated Flight Training Center (AFTC) has been in the business of helping pilots get their flight ratings for over 25 years. Founded by Bill Fischer, AFTC is located in Long Beach, CA but we also fly to our students anywhere in the world to train them at their local airport in their own aircraft.

Our focus is in providing an intensive one-on-one instruction that allows students to learn quickly and retain as much information as possible. AFTC instructors are full-time career instructors whose primary objective is to help students from the very beginning through to the very end where pilots receive their flight rating, whether it be an IFR, a commercial rating or a multi-engine rating.

Bill Fischer

Bill was born in St. Louis, MO, where he got an associate degree in teaching at Harris Teachers College and a bachelors from SIU. He has been flying since 1978 where he took his first flight and  went on to achieve his Private pilots, commercial pilot, instrument pilot, multi-engine, Cfi and CFII certificates. He has accumulated over 13,000 hours flight time and has flown in all 50 states plus central and south America. He has been teaching flying for the past 30 years and found that his love was the teaching of flying. He established his flight school for accelerated flight training 20 years ago.

Jason Lamberton

Jason Lamberton B.S Chief Flight Instructor at AFT Center born in the UK 06/24/1971. Graduated from London Guildhall University 2004 from a Aeronautics Degree and Distinction with a Major in Aviation; I started flying in 1993 in England and went on to obtain my JAR Multi Commercial Pilot/Instrument Rating in Europe before coming to the USA in 2006. I furthered my experience and added FAA Commercial Pilot/Instrument rating (Single Engine) Commercial Pilot/Instrument Rating (Multi Engine) Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII), Ground Instructor Advanced (AGI), and Gold Seal CFI.
