Kyle liked his instrument course so much he came back for his commercial. On the 5th day he took his check ride and passed. He is planning to get his CFI next.

Kyle writes:
I strongly believe in the “total immersion philosophy of learning”. In addition, my schedule simply didn't allow for flight training for six months of the year. After 10 days of hard work, I am the happy holder of an instrument ticket. Bill Fischer is a great teacher and made the training fun and rewarding. Thanks Bill

I cannot tell you how ecstatic I am to have passed my instrument check ride and to be an instrument rated pilot. I am deeply grateful for your professional training and experience. It's refreshing to train with someone who loves to fly as much as I do. And who has such an in-dept knowledge of the IFR system and teaching style that makes it easy to understand.
It amazes me that in just 10 days, I went from not having flown for four years with only 8.9 hours of X-country PIC time, to a fully-qualified and instrument rated pilot are a

I will definitely return for future training.

Best Regards

I had tried to achieve my IFR rating locally but with aircraft breakdowns, instructor cancellations etc I was not getting it done. A friend of mine recommended contacting AFT Center in Ca. They sent me the best instructor I have every had. The first day he evaluated where I was and then went on to train me for 6 days when I got the rating. Fantastic. Thanks to my instructor Don and to AFTC, a very professional company.

When I began to check around for IFR training in my New aircraft I found most schools knew less than I about the aircraft. I found one or two who tried to sell me but I soon discovered it was just sales and they knew little about the aircraft and the newer avionics. I was referred to AFTC and after talking with their owner I knew I had found the right company to get me my IFR ticket. He was very knowledgeable not only about the aircraft but up to date on avionics equipment. I had the G1000/waas with the Gnx 200 and all the options plus an auto pilot. I convinced Bill Fischer (the owner) to train me personally. I scheduled a few extra days due to the equipment (15) and it was the best decision I could have made. I not only received my IFR but feel most confident. I know I will be calling AFTC for a refresher course each year. It was a lot of fun and I learned much.

I would be pleased to recommend AFTC and all its staff.

I contacted AFTC from the UK and checked them out extensively. What I heard was very reassuring. The people I contacted had nothing but raves about their training and the attitude of the company. I was making a big change from a police office in London to achieve my lifelong passion to become an airline pilot. I scheduled a month and came to Long Beach to start my training. In that time I passed my IFR written, Commercial written. IFR airplane, Commercial single engine and commercial Multi engine ratings. This in one month and AFTC made it fun. I am now in contact with Airlines in the US and feel I will soon be flying with one of them. I feel that not only did I achieve my goal in this short time but made a friend at AFTC. Thanks AFTC and Bill Fischer

“Having an extremely busy travel schedule such as mine, this accelerated learning course was simply phenomenal. The ease with which the course was conducted by having the instructor come to you for full days made the learning and the experience that much better. I would not go anywhere else for my instrument training.

Thanks to you guys I got my IFR ticket yesterday. The DPE was very impressed with my knowledge and flying. He said you guys did a great job with me. Thanks again.”

I recently got my Commercial, Multi engine land Instrument with AFTC. I feel I got the best training available and would recommend AFTC above all others . The training was awesome.

I had been going to a flight school for quite a few months and it was very expensive and I felt that I was not getting the proper training. A friend of mine told me about AFTC where he had gotten his Commercial Multi license and I contacted AFTC. I wish I had done this much sooner. I got my certificate in about 10 days of training and the DPE committed that I did a great job on the check ride as I got my certificate.

Thank you AFTC

I was enrolled in a flight school in Fl and felt that I was not ever going to get my certificate. All it seems was they wanted more money and I heard about AFTC in Ca. I contacted them and enrolled in their program. My goal was to become an airline pilot and I needed the best training I could find. I checked out the references and everyone had glowing comments to make about their training with AFTC. I was also impressed with the confidence they showed with their Guarantee. They did exactly what they told me and were very up front with all their dealings. No hidden costs.

In less that 3 weeks training I got my Instrument certificate and then my Commercial Multi engine land with the instrument add on. When I completed all of the program I not only got my certificates but felt that I was a very competent pilot. I am now enrolled in a pilot program for an airlines and very happy with the training.

I first met Bill Fischer in the spring of 2002 when I finally decided to get my instrument rating. I had been flying for 11 years and had always put it off because of the horror stories of people who started and never quite finished. I was determined to do it and chose the accelerated method. After making the call, Bill Fischer contacted me and away we went with the mornings taken up with the desktop simulator and the afternoons with flying my Cessna Skyhawk 172 shooting approaches. Bill was the first instructor ever to convey the sense that he wanted to see me succeed and I could tell he wasn’t off somewhere else mentally looking towards his airline career. This coupled with zero intimidation when I blew it and with his trademark friendliness and sense of humor, made those 10 days actually enjoyable.
On the day of my oral exam and the checkride in San Luis Obispo, California, Bill stood by while I sailed through the oral and was actually congratulated for passing so well. When the examiner wanted to know if I would like to proceed to the checkride, I glanced at Bill and he gave me the nod to do it. Again, it was just a continuation of the last few days of flying approaches. Passed the first time. After landing and completing the paperwork while walking out to the plane for our flight back to Santa Maria, I asked Bill “So, now that I’m an instrument pilot, show me how I should walk”. He proceeded to walk like a cocky cowboy bumping his head into the wing.
A few months later, I purchased a 1976 Rockwell Commander 112-TC and didn’t think twice before calling Bill to train me in this high performance complex aircraft. Within several hours, I had my insurance hours done, the complex signoff completed and was confident to fly my family to Denver that summer IFR in actual IMC.
Fast forward to March of 2006: AOPA magazine had done a series of articles by their editor, Steve Ells, regarding the sweepstakes airplane for their 2005 AOPA Sweepstakes giveaway (N112WN). This airplane was outfitted with over $200,000 worth of avionics. Chelton Flight Systems had donated their FlightLogic glass panels and their digital autopilot, the AP-C3 for the sweepstakes. Garmin had donated their MX-20 and 2 SL-30 Nav/Comm radios. When AOPA announced the winner, I contacted Rob Melnick, of Denver and purchased it. After Steve Ells and I flew it back to Santa Maria, I again didn’t have to think twice before calling Bill Fischer to become proficient in operating this space-age equipment and earn my IFR currency in my new plane.
Working with Bill Fischer over these years has been a rewarding and really enjoyable experience. I would heartily recommend him and AFTC without hesitation. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

I wanted to get my IFR training done as efficiently and professionally as possible.  Working with AFTC I was able to do just that.  Bill and his team were very thorough throughout the whole process - from studying, answering questions, flying, to meeting with the instructor to get signed off.  I'm very glad I chose AFTC to complete my IFR and I am looking forward to working with them in the future for other certifications.

Anyone who is in the North Dan Diego Area, I trained with Bill Fischer and it was a wonderful experience. He states in a few calm works the important aspects of flying without “showing you how to do it”. He still fly’s with me as I hear his words when I am in the clouds.

Had the opportunity to fly with AFTC for almost 16 hours, after I came to California for vacation and experience flying in the clouds. I got my IFR ticket over a year ago in Phoenix, but never had the opportunity to fly in the clouds and never became comfortable flying in IFR conditions. AFTC changed all that. In 3 days we flew up and down the coast, over 15 airports in IMC including minimums on approaches. He is a calm and thorough instructor. He made sure my IFR rating meant something.

Thanks
